Nordic Fire Protection was born out of a necessity that turned into an opportunity.

When Norwegian Olaf Eklo started building Scandinavian style wooden buildings in the UK with his company Nordic Wood, he quickly discovered that the UK building control demanded appropriate fire protection for the wooden structures. The UK-made products he found were so good that he immediately saw the use for them back in Scandinavia.

For 10 years, we have successfully married the passive fire protection-products on offer in the UK with the market need in Scandinavia. The export to Scandinavia is still going and year on year increasing. In the process we have gained better documentation than otherwise available for the same products in the UK. We have worked with the factories to improve the products and make sure that they are user friendly as well as doing their job in a fire.
